Ok so here's the deal. I am not going to post tips on nutrition or workouts. I think most people overlook comments on health and wellness either because people are posting the same things like(how how supplements work or why a certain workout is better than another..)and people get confused on what exactly to do. So here's the biggest tip of all. If you have enough time in the day to think about being overweight and unhappy. Then you have enough time to go for a walk and make a trip to the grocery store to get something healthy. You will feel better and more accomplished. You don't need weight loss pills, or extr supplements to be healthy and fit. It just takes a few lifestyle changes.

Cross-Train in a park.

One of the best ways to get a workout in is to cross-train. What does that mean to cross-train? It simply means to involve varying varietys of exercises all together for one great workout. Today I took the dogs to our local park. The park has a track so we ran around for about a mile. While the dogs played in shade with tennis balls, I found a picnic bench and did pushups, tricep dips and step-ups. This is a great example of how easy it is to do a cross-train. You can work on both your cardio and strength training at the same time to burn a huge number of calories!

Spice up your salad!

Eating healthy is a task and can be very boring and tasteless. One of the key healthy foods we tend to eat is salads. I have found a great way to make salads taste better. Add a corn salsa. You can find these at your local grocery store in the produce section, usually next to the pre-made salad mixes. Adding things like salsa, or tapanades of some kind really spice up a salad. It sort of feels like your eating mexican food without the added starches that most mexican dishes have! Next time your at the grocery, pick up some corn salsa, it also goes great with eggs!! Bon Appetit!

Take the first step.

The first step to a successful exercise plan is determing what factors have inhibited the process. List out difinitive reasons why your fitness plan or lack of has failed in the past. This will enable you to see what the limitations and barriers were when you began or stopped your workout program. It may be diet, lack of a workout partner, unknowledable about the workouts (e.g how much, how often, what type.) Whatever the reasons are, the bottom line is to get underneath the problem. Some issues are more easy to overcome than others when it comes to working out. Most people suffer from the biggest obstacle, that being consistency. With that said, as you are making the list of limitations, see what items link together to mean the same thing. For example, if you have listed diet once and unfamiliarity of the right foods as another, you have a linked listed item. Generally speaking, the items you have reiterated in a different forms will be your problem with exercise. It is much easier to get to the root of the problem than lumping all of your workout issues together to find a solution. Start your list today, its your first step.

Note: If you like, you can email me your list and I can help narrow down your issues to aid in centralizing the root problem of your workout regime.
